The Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FIKP) Unhas socialized the Student Creativity Program (PKM) for lecturers and students in preparation for the 2022 program. This socialization was officially opened by the Dean of FIKP Unhas Safruddin, S.Pi., MP., Ph.D. In his speech which also opened the socialization event, the dean said that with PKM, students will get many benefits, including increasing the ability to express and write ideas, the ability to work together, build networks that will improve the quality of students.

As the speakers for this event are Dr. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., MP who is the Secretary of the POKJA PKM Unhas and the 2021 PKM national reviewer and Muhammad Kurnia, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D who is a lecturer and supervisor for PKM from FIKP that passed to PIMNAS 2021.

In her presentation, Nursinah conveyed about the history of PKM, the goals and benefits of PKM, the characteristics of each type of PKM, tips and tricks to qualify for funding and win at PIMNAS. Further, Muhammad Kurnia conveyed the need for synergy between assistants, faculty leaders, university leaders, working groups, clinics, administrations and of course the student team to be able to win awards at PIMNAS.

This socialization was attended by approximately 189 FIKP students and lecturers as well as from several other faculties within the scope of Unhas. Also attending this socialization was the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships FIKP Unhas Dr. Ir. Moh. Farid Samawi, M.Si, Chair of the Pokja PKM Unhas Dr. Suhasman. S.Hut., M.Sc., Deputy Chairperson of POKJA PKM Unhas drg. Nursyamsi, M.Kes. and several members of the POKJA PKM Unhas.

It is hoped that after this socialization, students will immediately form team and prepare PKM proposal.
