The Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Science (FIKP), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), organized a Socialization of ISO 21001:2018 Education Operations Management System (SMOP) on Monday, January 19, 2026, held at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of FIKP UNHAS. This activity was part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of standardized education governance oriented toward stakeholder satisfaction.
The socialization session featured Dr. Ir. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., M.P., Chair of GPMPR FIKP UNHAS, as the resource person. In her presentation, she explained the basic concepts, scope, and urgency of implementing ISO 21001:2018 as an international standard for educational organization management systems. It was also conveyed that the implementation of SMOP is expected to support the effectiveness of academic processes, improve organizational performance, and promote continuous improvement within the FIKP Unhas environment.
The event was attended by leaders and implementing units within FIKP Unhas, including the Dean, Vice Deans, Secretary of GPMPR, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Heads of Study Programs at the undergraduate (S1), master’s (S2), and doctoral (S3) levels, Head of Administration, Heads of Subsections, ISO Coordinators, Lecturers, and Laboratory Staff. The presence of these various elements reflects a shared commitment to supporting the integrated implementation of an education quality management system.
Through this socialization activity, it is expected that all members of the academic community and education support staff at FIKP UNHAS will have a shared understanding of ISO 21001:2018, enabling the SMOP implementation process to run effectively, consistently, and sustainably in support of achieving the faculty’s vision and mission.
