The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) UNHAS took a unique approach in 2024 to introduce new students to campus life. The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) was not just about the academic environment but also about building students' character with integrity and care for the environment. One of the key activities was a campus cleanup action that involved 551 new students on Sunday, August 13, 2024.
This campus cleanup action is not just a form of support for the green campus program that UNHAS has launched. It's a demonstration of our commitment to creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable campus environment. New students are taught important values such as cooperation, responsibility, and social care through this activity. It's also a place to strengthen the relationship amongst new students and create a sense of belonging to the campus.
The PKKMB Committee, under the leadership of Mr. Dalvi Mustafa, played a crucial role in shaping the new students. 'We aim for the new FIKP Unhas students to not only excel in marine and fisheries but also to be individuals who contribute positively to society. We hope they can become responsible future leaders,' he said.
