The Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FIKP) once again held its monthly routine activity, Majelis Taklim At-Taqwa, attended by the academic community, including lecturers, Dharma Wanita, and administrative staff. This solemn event was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Banda.

The event began with the recitation and improvement session (tahsin) of Surah Al-Ma'un and Al-Quraisy, led by Ustadz Sulaiman Gozalam. The atmosphere became even more reverent with the recitation of the Holy Quran by FIKP student, Amar Ma'ruf.

Following the Quran recitation, the event continued with a speech from the Dean of FIKP, who conveyed information regarding Islamic activities to be held during the holy month of Ramadan. In his speech, he also expressed gratitude to all participants who actively took part in this activity and emphasized the importance of unity in strengthening faith and devotion.

The main activity of this session was a lecture delivered by Ustadz Muhammad Hasbi Nur, Lc., with the theme Preparation and True Brotherhood in Welcoming Ramadan, based on Surah Ali Imran verse 103. In his lecture, Ustadz Hasbi Nur emphasized the importance of strengthening Islamic brotherhood and spiritual preparation to welcome the holy month with a pure heart.

An interactive discussion further enriched the participants' enthusiasm. One of the Dharma Wanita members asked about the provisions for serving iftar meals at the mosque. Additionally, the Dean of FIKP inquired about the guidelines and rewards of various practices during the first ten and last ten days of Ramadan.

Other topics discussed included the implementation of i'tikaf for women, including the necessary provisions, common issues in society regarding i'tikaf, and discussions about fidyah for those unable to fast.

Through this activity, it is hoped that all participants will gain a deeper understanding of Islamic values and implement them in their daily lives, especially in welcoming the blessed month of Ramadan. Majelis Taklim At-Taqwa FIKP is committed to continuing to provide beneficial studies to strengthen the spirituality of the academic community.
