Makassar, February 13, 2025 - The Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries (FIKP) UNHAS held a socialization of the use of the SIKOLA V2 application for lecturers as part of efforts to digitize the academic system. This activity was conducted hybrid, ie., offline in the FIKP Meeting Room and online via Zoom Meeting Room.
The event started at 08.30 WITA aiming to provide an in-depth understanding of SIKOLA V2, a platform that improves the efficiency of lecture administration and facilitates communication between lecturers and students.
In her remarks, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FIKP UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Aslamyah, MP, emphasized the importance of utilizing technology to support academic activities. "The use of SIKOLA is expected to make it easier for lecturers to manage lectures, access student academic data, and increase transparency and effectiveness in the learning process," she said.
The socialization session included an explanation by Dr. Hendra, S.Si., M.Kom. (Head of the Sub-Directorate of Technology and Learning Innovation at the Directorate of Educational Transformation and Learning Innovation, Unhas) regarding the main features of SIKOLA V2, including how to upload lecture materials, manage assignments, and student evaluation mechanisms that are adjusted to Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL). Lecturers were also allowed to try out the application directly and discuss the challenges and solutions to its implementation in the FIKP UNHAS environment.
With this socialization, it is expected that all FIKP UNHAS lecturers can optimize the application of SIKOLA application to improve the quality of learning and the efficiency of academic administration. The faculty will continue to support the development of educational technology to create a more modern, efficient, and data-based academic ecosystem.
