The Faculty of Marine  Science and Fisheries  (FIKP) UNHAS held Community Services (PkM) in collaboration with the Seicy Foundation on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Marine Station, Barrang Lompo Island.

The activity was opened by the Dean of FIKP, Mr. Safruddin, Ph.D. This session is divided into 3 sessions by Prof.Dr.Ir. Abdul Haris, M.Si, Dr. Ahmad Bahar, ST, M.Sc., and Seicy Foundation.

In his presentation to the participants of Barrang Lompo Island, Prof. Abdul Haris, explained the dangers of diseases that arise from diving and how to prevent them. Dr. Ahmad Bahar provides materials related to marine ecotourism and community-based edutourism that are suitable for residents of Barrang Lompo Island. In the third session, the Seicy Foundation provided education regarding waste management on Barrang Lompo Island.

This community service involves 70 lecturers, students and FIKP education staff. The event was also supported by the village officer who attended, namely Mrs. Kurniati, SP as the Village Head of Barrang Lompo Island.

This activity was closed by providing food aid from the collaboration between FIKP and the Seicy Foundation to 40 PkM participants.
