The event was opened by the Dean of FIKP UNHAS, Prof. Safruddin, S.Pi, MP, Ph.D, marking the beginning of in-depth discussions about the significant findings from this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">The event was attended by various stakeholders, including government representatives and academics, with key speakers including Irawan Asaad, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D (Director of Climate Change Adaptation at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry); Dr. M. Ilyas, S.T., M.Sc (Head of the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of South Sulawesi Province); Dr. Shinta Werorilangi, M.Sc (Lecturer at FIKP UNHAS and Chair of the Marine Plastic Research Group (MPRG) Unhas ); and Najhah Aris, SH., MH (Center for Control of Sulawesi Maluku Ecoregion Development).<br>In an enthusiastic atmosphere, Dr. Ir. Darhamsyah, M.Si, an experienced lecturer from UNHAS, led the event.<br>One of the main highlights was the presentation by Research Team 1, which discussed the Economic Vulnerability of Small-scale Fishermen to Climate Change in the Spermonde Islands. This team consisted of FIKP UNHAS lecturers, Prof. Nita Rukminasari, S.Pi., MP; Dr. Ir. M. Rijal Idrus, M.Sc; and Jamaluddin Fitrah Alam, Ph.D. The collaboration between the Center for Economic, Industrial, Service, and Trade Research BRIN (Dr. Umi Muawanah) and the Conservation Strategy Fund Indonesia (Dr. Mubariq Ahmad and C. Desta Pratama) was instrumental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Equally important, Research Team 2 presented their research on the Impact of Marine Debris on the Economic Welfare of Small-scale Fishermen in South Sulawesi. This team consisted of faculty members from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Lambung Mangkurat University (Muh, Afdal, S.Kel., M.Si); FIKP UNHAS lecturer (Kasri, S.Pi., M.Si); DLH South Sulawesi Province (Agussalim, SI); and Jaring Nusa East Indonesia (Rahima Rahman, S.Kel).<br>In-depth discussions and presentations on these issues provide a better understanding of the challenges faced by small-scale fishermen and marine ecosystems.
