Three lecturers from the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries (FIKP) at UNHAS were officially inaugurated as Professors during an Academic Senate Plenary Session on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at the Senate Hall, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the official inauguration, the Curriculum Vitae of the 3 Professors were presented by the Dean of FIKP, Prof. Safruddin, S.Pi., M.P.,Ph.D, followed by the presentation of scientific oration by each of the three distinguished professors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three newly appointed professors are:
Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Aslamyah, M.P. in the field of Fish Nutrition;
Prof. Dr. Nita Rukminasari, S.Pi., M.P. in the field of Aquatic Productivity and
Prof. Dr. Mahatma Lanuru, M.Sc. in Oceanography and Sediment Dynamics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this occasion, The Rector of UNHAS, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa, not only conveyed his congratulations to the eminent professors but also in his speech, he urged the utilization of Indonesia's remarkable marine potential and emphasized the need to enhance the blue economy through interdisciplinary engagement. The appointment of these three distinguished professors is expected to fortify FIKP Unhas's role as a Center of Coastal and Marine Resource Management Development by 2030<\/p>\n\n\n\n
