The theme of this service activity is Fishery Product Processing Counseling. However, FIKP's activities are not only conducting counseling but also demonstrating the manufacture of processed fish \"Dragon Leg Fish\". The choice of theme for this activity cannot be separated from the general problems faced by coastal communities and small islands that they often experience problems with processing fishery products and selling their processed products. Through this activity it is hoped that they will be able to overcome the problems they face. Of course this is not easy, it takes more effort and sacrifice to realize what has become a goal. &nbsp;<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p align=\"justify\">In the community service this time there were a series of activities carried out such as repairing the prayer room and community service carried out in the marine station area of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries. As usual, community service activities began with an opening by the event moderator, Dr. Widyastuti Umar, S.Kel. was then followed by remarks from the head of the committee, namely Hendra, S.Kel., M.Si. In his remarks, he reported that this service activity was carried out well with the cooperation of the committee and the local government. We thank you for your presence in this service activity, I hope this activity can be of benefit to all,\" he said.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p align=\"justify\">Then it was followed by remarks from the Dean of FIKP Mr. Safruddin, S.Pi., MP, Ph.D as well as officially opening the activity. In his remarks he said that this dedication activity was specifically for women because in the previous year it was men who were invited. Please note that the previous activity was sea cucumber diving fishermen. Barrang Lompo Island has enormous fishery potential, both pelagic and demersal fisheries. Therefore it is very unfortunate if it is not optimized properly. To increase the selling value or added value of fishery products is by diversifying processed fishery and implementing a marketing strategy for processed fishery. So on this occasion we have presented resource persons who are experts in their fields who will later describe or explain how to process fishery products and implement marketing strategies,\" said the Dean of FIKP. &nbsp;<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p align=\"justify\">Kegiatan ini menghadirkan dua narasumber yakni Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutinah Made, M.Si dan Dr. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., M.P. Pemateri pertama membawakan materi mengenai strategi pemasaran produk olahan perikanan. Dalam pemaparannya, pemateri menjelaskan bagaimana konsep pemasaran hasil perikanan. Strategi pemasaran adalah serangkaian terpadu menuju keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan. Pemasaran produk hasil perikanan sangat mutlak diperlukan dalam pembangunan perikanan. Sistem pemasaran yang baik ditunjukkan melalui harga, kecenderungan konsumen terhadap satu jenis produk perikanan dan nilai ekonomi yang menyertai kecenderungan tersebut. Tujuan akhir dari strategi pemasaran adalah kepuasan pelanggan sepenuhnya \u201cUngkap Prof. Sutinah Made, M.Si.\u201d<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p align=\"justify\">Pemateri kedua oleh Dr. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., MP. membawakan materi terkait dengan ikan dan produk olahannya. Dalam pemaparannya menjelaskan fungsi ikan yang terdiri atas : sumber energi yang sangat dibutuhkan, membantu pertumbuhan dan pemeliharaan tubuh, mempertinggi daya tahan tubuh, memperlancar proses fisiologis dalam tubuh, meningkatkan kecerdasan otak, dan mencegah penyakit gondok, stroke. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan pembahasan mengenai tujuan&nbsp; pengawetan&nbsp; dan&nbsp; pengolahan&nbsp; ikan yaitu mencegah proses pembusukan pada ikan, terutama pada saat produksi melimpah, meningkatkan jangkauan pemasaran ikan, melaksanakan diversifikasi produk perikanan, meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan atau petani ikan, dan meningkatkan sifat organoleptik hasil perikanan. Setelah kegiatan penyuluhan kemudian dilanjutkan sesi disksusi yang dipimpin oleh moderator. Dalam diskusi ini peserta mengungkapkan bahwa selama ini, kami telah melakukan berbagai olahan, namun yang selalu menjadi kendala kami adalah bagaimana membuat kemasan yang menarik dan meningkatkan penjualan produk olahan perikanan \u201cUngkap peserta\u201d. Salah satu peserta mengungkapkan \u201cHarapan ke depan semoga Fakultas Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan menjadikan warga Pulau Barrang Lompo sebagai binaan\u201d. Kegiatan pengabdian berikutnya dilanjutkan dengan Demonstasi pembuatan Kaki Naga Ikan yang dibawakan oleh Dr. Nursinah Amir, S.Pi., MP. dibantu oleh panitia. Pemateri memperkenalkan alat dan bahan yang diperlukan dalam pembuatan kaki naga ikan. Selanjutnya adalah melakukan demonstasi pembuatan produk kaki naga dengan bertahap dan kemudian diikuti oleh peserta pengabdian.
