Makassar, November 29, 2024 – The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) UNHAS has conducted the first stage of the External Audit for ISO 21001:2018 Certification. This standard is designed explicitly for Educational Organization Management Systems to enhance the quality of educational services. The audit was carried out on Friday, November 29, 2024, involving auditors from an independent certification body, TUV Rheinland Indonesia.
ISO 21001:2018 emphasizes sustainability, inclusivity, and addressing the needs of stakeholders, including students, educators, and the broader community. During the audit, the auditors assessed FIKP's policies, documentation, and operational processes for compliance with the fundamental principles of ISO 21001.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of FIKP UNHAS, Prof. Safruddin, S.Pi., MP., PhD, stated, "The implementation of ISO 21001 reflects FIKP's commitment to consistently improving the quality of education services that are inclusive, relevant, and sustainable. By adopting this standard, FIKP aims to provide the best experience for all stakeholders."
The results of this first-stage audit will serve as a foundation for the second-stage audit, scheduled for two weeks from now. Through this certification process, FIKP UNHAS aspires to become a pioneer in implementing an international standard-based educational management system, thereby enhancing the institution's global competitiveness.
