Makassar, December 11, 2024 – The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) UNHAS has successfully completed the Second Stage External Audit for ISO 21001:2018 Certification. Conducted on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, by auditors from TUV Rheinland Indonesia, an independent certification body, the audit marks a significant milestone in FIKP's journey toward achieving international standardization in education.
This second-stage audit focused on addressing the recommendations and findings from the first-stage audit. The auditors also assessed the operational implementation of the educational management system at FIKP based on ISO 21001 principles, such as sustainability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.


Prof. Safruddin, S.Pi., MP., Ph.D., Dean of FIKP UNHAS, stated, “Completing this second-stage audit is a strategic step that brings FIKP closer to achieving ISO 21001:2018 certification. During the audit, the team verified that all recommendations from the first stage had been effectively addressed. They also evaluated the educational management system’s compliance with ISO 21001 principles, highlighting accessibility, equity, and continuous improvement as critical elements of an inclusive and sustainable education system.
Through this achievement, FIKP UNHAS reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the quality of its educational services, addressing the needs of students, faculty, and the broader community. The forthcoming ISO 21001:2018 certification will symbolize FIKP’s dedication to implementing excellent, internationally standardized educational governance.
