The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) UNHAS conducted its regular Taklim session on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the 2nd Floor Conference Room of FIKP UNHAS. Attendees included faculty members, students, administrative staff, members of the Dharma Wanita Association, and the wider FIKP UNHAS community.
Dr. Khairul Amri, ST., M.Sc.Stud, Head of the Department of Marine Science, commenced the event as the moderator. The session commenced with a recitation of the Qur'an led by Mudarris, followed by an insightful interpretation by Qariah, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Andi Niartiningsih, M.P. Prof. Safruddin, S.Pi., MP., Ph.D., the Dean of FIKP, extended a warm welcome and officially open the religious study session.
Ust. Dr. Ir. H. Muh. Qasim Saguni, M.A., delivered a lecture on the theme "Drawing Lessons from Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail for True Islamic Living." He elaborated on four admirable characteristics of Prophet Ibrahim AS, urging Muslims to emulate his qualities: his devotion to monotheism, his intellect, decisiveness, readiness to make sacrifices, and advocacy for monotheism; his unwavering faith in Allah; his equitable and emotionally intelligent approach as a husband, fulfilling familial responsibilities while nurturing faith and monotheism; and his role as a father, serving as a constant beacon of faith for his children.
The Majelis Taklim At Taqwa-FIKP organized this event with the aim of fostering spiritual connections and deepening religious comprehension within the academic community of FIKP UNHAS. Such initiatives are envisioned to offer participants practical guidance and inspiration for aligning their daily lives with religious principles.
